Pediatric CBT Specialty Program:

Specialized Training in Pediatric Anxiety, OCD, and Evidence-Based Care

15-24 month program in Portland, Oregon

*Position Details Below

At Raising Brave Kids, we do more than hire therapists. We train clinicians to become confident, skilled providers in pediatric anxiety and OCD treatment.

Our associate training program is designed for early-career therapists who want strong clinical foundations, meaningful mentorship, and hands-on experience delivering evidence-based care to kids, teens, and families.

This is a structured in-person training track in Portland, Oregon for therapists who want to build real specialty depth — not just log hours.

What This Training Program Is

Our 15–24 month associate training track is built for pre-licensed clinicians who want to become highly competent in treating child and teen anxiety, OCD, and related challenges.

This is not a sink-or-swim position. It is a supported training experience that helps associate therapists grow their skills in a clear, structured way while providing high-quality care to families.

You’ll learn how to work with children, teens, and parents using practical, research-informed treatment approaches that lead to real change outside the therapy room.

Our work is grounded in:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • SPACE-informed parent work

  • Skills-based, developmentally appropriate treatment for kids and teens.

  • A Masters level pre-licensed therapist seeking clinical experience

  • Drawn to structured, solution focused evidence-based therapy

  • Curious about exposure-based treatment and ready to grow your confidence

  • Looking for supervision, consultation, and ongoing support

What You’ll Learn

Associate clinicians in our training program build skills in treating a range of childhood and teen mental health concerns, including:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder

  • Specific Anxieties

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Phobias

  • School avoidance

  • Selective Mutism

  • Body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs)

  • Tics/Tourettes

  • Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS)

You won’t just learn how to talk with clients in session. You’ll learn how to help families apply treatment in real life so gains extend beyond the office.
