Parent Group: Raising Brave
Parents of kids & teens 5-17 years old
Next Cohorts Starts February 2025
6 Week Online Parent Support & Skills Group:
Empowering Your Child's Resilience
Empower yourself with research-informed, practical parenting tools drawn from SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), CBT-informed skills, self-compassion, and mindfulness.
This supportive, educational series helps caregivers learn concrete strategies to encourage bravery, reduce unhelpful anxiety patterns at home, and build steady confidence over time.
Ideal for Parents of Children Who:
Hesitate to try new things
Require consistent reassurance
Need to follow strict routines or rituals
Avoid school or essential life experiences.
Have heightened anxiety or OCD symptoms.
Struggle with sleep or eating due to anxiety.
Find it hard to make friends or socialize due to anxiety.
Miss out on life experiences due to fears and worries.
Expert-Led Learning
Gain insights from Kat Schoolland, LMFT, a specialist in child anxiety and OCD with two decades of experience supporting children’s mental health . You’ll leave with research-informed, practical skills you can use at home.
Customized Support for Every Family’s Needs
We focus on helping you apply strategies in a way that fits your family—with clear examples, caregiver scripts, and time to troubleshoot common challenges. (This is a support and educational skills group, not psychotherapy.)
Science Informed Program
Our program is informed by evidence-based approaches including SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. We continuously update our curriculum as new research and best practices emerge.
A Safe Space to Connect with Others
We prioritize creating a safe and welcoming space for all. You’ll join a supportive, welcoming group of parents who get it. Share experiences, learn from others, and build community while staying grounded in practical skills.
Ongoing Learning - Weekly Handouts & Curated Resources
Each week, we provide handouts that reinforce the key strategies and concepts from our sessions. These practical and easy-to-use handouts ensure you have essential tools at your fingertips. Parents also gain access to learning materials like slides, making it easier to review and apply what you've learned. Additionally, we offer a curated list of resources, including articles, videos, and books, to further deepen your understanding. Our goal is to equip you with a comprehensive set of tools to help your family thrive.

Testimonial
“Participating in Kat’s Parent program was one of the best parenting decisions I’ve ever made. Kat created a warm space for parents to discuss their challenges, and the weekly learning was transformative. I view my parenting role completely differently now (especially related to my daughter’s anxiety), and as a result, my daughter is stepping into challenges with growing confidence. I also saw Kat for private coaching, and she was insightful, supportive and provided effective interventions.
Kat is the best kind of clinician - wise, down to earth, unafraid to get into the parenting trenches with her clients, encouraging, funny and resourceful. If you and/or your child is fortunate enough to get a chance to work with Kat, do it!”
