LISENCED CLINICAL POSTIONS

Child & Teen Therapist (In-Person – Portland, OR)

Raising Brave Kids is a specialty child and family therapy practice focused on effectively treating childhood anxiety and OCD through evidence-based care.

We’re seeking a fully licensed therapist who is passionate about working with kids, teens, and parents—and motivated to do this work with depth and intention. This is not a generalist role; it’s an opportunity to specialize and grow within a focused clinical model.

Our work is grounded in CBT, ERP, and ACT. We’re looking for someone who either has experience in these approaches or is highly motivated to build strong competency with support.

Who This Role Is a Good Fit For

You’re someone who:

  • Likes working directly with kids and teens (and their parents)

  • Values structured, evidence-based, and skills-focused therapy

  • Is curious about or already using CBT, ERP, or ACT

  • Wants to get better at exposure-based work and anxiety treatment

  • Enjoys being part of a team (not just doing therapy in a silo)

  • Values practical, skills-based therapy

  • You are a Psychologist (PsyD/PhD), LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW

  • Are interested in a W2 position at a clinician owned practice.

This role is best suited for clinicians looking to grow within a team setting and commit to a focused clinical model.

This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If You:

  • Are focused on launching or transitioning to your own private practice in the near future

  • Plan to maintain employment with a competing practice

  • Prefer loosely structured or non-directive therapy

  • Prefer autonomy without collaboration or accountability to a team

  • Are seeking a 1099 position

What the Work Looks Like

You’ll be working with kids, teens, and parents dealing with:

  • Anxiety (generalized, social, specific fears)

  • OCD

  • Mood-related challenges

  • Behavioral challenges

  • School avoidance, perfectionism, and related patterns

  • PANS/PANDAS

  • Selective Mutism

  • ARFID

  • Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRB’s)

  • Tics/Tourettes

  • Neurodiversity

We focus on teaching skills that actually translate outside the therapy room.

Training & Support

We put a lot of energy into helping clinicians grow, especially in our specialty areas.

  • Ongoing training in CBT, ERP, ACT, SPACE, habit reversal, and more

  • Quarterly in-person trainings with outside experts

  • Weekly consultation + office hours with Kat Schoolland, LMFT

  • Annual CE stipend

  • Team Off sites

If you’re looking to really develop depth in anxiety/OCD work, this is a place to do that.

Our Space (NW Portland)

We have a bright, comfortable office in NW Portland with:

  • Private therapy rooms

  • A large group space

  • Kitchenette (coffee always available)

  • A welcoming waiting area for families

Referrals & Caseload Support

We actively help you build your caseload.

  • Strong referral base in the Portland area

  • Ongoing community outreach and marketing

  • Clients specifically looking for anxiety and OCD support

Systems That Help

We’ve put good systems in place so you’re not spending your energy on logistics.

  • EHR with scheduling, telehealth, and messaging

  • Easy-to-use tools for notes and intake

  • Google Workspace + Spruce phone

  • Internal chat for quick team connection

The Team

Why You’ll Love Working Here - Team Culture That’s Actually Fun!

We’re a warm, creative, and collaborative bunch! At RBK, we prioritize connection as much as competence. Expect:

  • Monthly hangouts—from game nights to dinners or coffee chats

  • A team that genuinely likes each other (yes, really) & actually talks to each other during the day

  • A culture of mutual support and genuine relationships

  • Space to consult, laugh, and reset between sessions

  • Coworkers who cheer each other on. Its hard work and we know how a team can be key to not burning out.

You won’t feel alone here—there’s always someone nearby for a brainstorm, to have a quick chat, dance break, or just laugh, & high five between sessions. It’s meaningful work, and having a solid team makes a big difference.
